(Small & Medium Industry Development Organization)
KOSGEB is a public agency affiliated with Ministry of Industry and Trade. It was established on 20 April 1990 under the Law no. 3624 to enable Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to adapt technological innovations rapidly, raise their competitive powers, and prepare SMEs for global competition by increasing their contributions and effectiveness.
KOSGEB Supports Directive has been changed to cover SMEs in compliance with the European Union’s Definition of SME.
KOSGEB provides SMEs with:
Consultancy and training support;
Technology development and innovation support;
Information support;
Quality development support;
Market research and export development support;
International cooperation development support;
Regional development support;
Entrepreneurship development support.
KOSGEB’s serrvice units established in throughout Turkey are:
20 Enterprise Development Centers;
15 Regional Industry Development centers;
20 Technology Development Centers;
6 Incubators Without Wall;
75 Synergy Focus.
Besides these service units KOSGEB operates Ankara Euro Info Center (EIC), which is the oldest and leading EIC among 9 EICs in Turkey.
